SpiceJet does not permit the carriage of any animal on any of their flights unless it is a service animal accompanying a disabled passenger.

Checked Baggage Pet Policy

Pets Allowed

SpiceJet does not offer checked baggage service for live animals to its passengers.

Manifest (Air) Cargo Pet Policies

Pets Allowed

SpiceJet will fly domesticated pets such as dogs and cats on Boeing B737-800 and 900 series aircraft only. Pets will travel in the cargo hold of the aircraft whether they are accompanied or unaccompanied by owners.

Age

Puppies and kittens must be at least 12 weeks of age.

Aircraft Restrictions

SpiceJet will transport animals only on Boeing B737-800 and 900 series aircraft.

Check-in

Pets flying with SpiceJet must be checked in at their cargo facility at the departing airport.

Forms Required

Health Certificate issued within 10 days of travel. Also required are rabies certificates. Required documents for the country your pet is traveling to, if traveling internationally, must be available at check-in. All documentation should be in English.

Breed Restrictions

Temperature Restrictions

Pets will not be accepted when actual or forecasted temperatures are above 85°F (29.4°C) or below 45°F (7.2°C) at any city on the itinerary (origination, layover or destination airport).

Crate Requirements

Kennel size must not exceed 18" x 18" x 12" (46 x 46 x 31 cm). The crate must be IATA-compliant. More information here >>>.

Three pet crates can be accepted per passenger. One pet per crate is permitted; however, two small pets of the same species and same owner can share a container if not weighing over 10 Kgs each, or, a mother with weaned offspring of less than 4 months.

Puppies and Kittens

SpiceJet will transport puppies and kittens over 12 weeks of age or unweaned puppies less than 4 months with their mother.

Banned Breeds

SpiceJet will not fly the following breeds or their mixes: All Boxers, Bulldogs, Mastiffs, Spaniels, Akita, Brussels Griffin (Petite Brabancon), Chow Chow, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brazillero, Japanese Chin (Chin, Japanese Spaniel, Japanese Pug) and all other breeds of Pug, Lhasa Apso, Pekinese, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Shar Pei, Shih Tzu and Tosa.

Additionally, the following cats will not be accepted: Burmese, Exotic, Himalayan and Persian.

Other Animals

SpiceJet will only transport domesticated animals and small pets.
