
JetBlue accepts
small cats and dogs but NOT birds in the passenger cabin of the aircraft except
on flights to and from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The
fee for a pet is $100 USD each way. Only one pet is allowed per customer
unless you are bringing a certified service animal or documented emotional
support animal. To book your pet, please call 1-800-JETBLUE and let
us know you'd like your pet to travel with you.
PET CARRIER Restrictions:
Only one pet is allowed per carrier and your pet must remain inside the carrier
during the entire flight.
Your pet must fit in a carrier that is smaller than 18"l x 15"w x 8"h
(45.72 cm L x 38.1 cm W x 20.32 cm H) and must be placed under the seat in front
of you.
Carriers that are 17"l x 12.5"w x 8"h (43.18 cm L x 31.75 cm W
x 20.32 cm H) may be purchased with cash, check or credit card at any JetBlue
ticket counter for a nonrefundable fee of $60 USD.
Combined weight of the pet and carrier may not exceed 20 pounds (9.07 kg).
Your pet and carrier will count as your one carry-on item.
Documentation Requirements For Service Animals and Emotional Support Animals
on International Flights
If you are traveling on an international flight with a service animal or emotional
support animal you must provide the following documentation:
Dogs:
Dogs over 3 months of age must be accompanied by triple vaccine (distemper, leptospirosis,
hepatitis) and parvo-virus vaccine certificates showing inoculations 30 days
prior to the arrival date of the animal. The dog must also be accompanied by
a valid rabies vaccination certificate that includes:
The breed, sex, age, color, markings and other identifying information.
Vaccination date at least 30 days before entry.
Vaccination expiration date.
The signature of a licensed veterinarian.
You must also provide an International Health Certificate issued within the 10
days prior to the arrival date of the animal.
Due to confinement regulations, puppies less than three months of age may not
fly on international flights.
Dominican Republic
Upon departure from the Dominican Republic, you must obtain a health certificate
valid for 72 hours from the Department of Animal Health. They can be reached

Cats:
Must be accompanied by a rabies vaccination certificate with inoculation 30 days
before entry. You must also provide an International Health Certificate issued
within the 10 days prior to the arrival date of the animal.
For other animal species, authorization is issued by the Direccion General de
