Destinations Served: Thai Airways is based in Japan and serves cities in Europe, Asia, Middle East, New Zealand. Additionally, their routes include Sao Paulo, Brazil and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Note that tickets must be collected from a Thai Airways city office only, not an airport ticketing office, and the city ticketing office must be in the country where the journey originates.

Thai Airways no longer permits pets to travel in the cabin of the aircraft.

Service dogs assisting with blindness or deafness are accepted in the cabin on most flights. Emotional support dogs are accepted only on flights to or from the United States.

Thai Airways may transport your pet in the cargo section of the aircraft according to its regulations. This section of the cargo department has the same temperature and pressure as the passenger cabin.

Pets Allowed: Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and ferrets. No sick or pregnant pets are permitted. There are no birds, rodents, reptiles, skunks, minks, soft-shelled turtles permitted.

Weather Restrictions: Pets will be exposed to summer and winter temperatures between the holding area and boarding. Check with the airline for temperature restrictions.

Reservations & Check-In: Check-in at reservation desk where you will pay excess baggage charge. A limited number of pets are permitted on each flight.

Breed Restrictions: The following breeds will not be transported as checked baggage: American Bulldog / Bully, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brussels Griffon, Bulldog, Chinese Pug, Chow Chow, Dutch Pug, English Bulldog, English Toy Spaniel, French Bulldog, Lhasa Apso, Japanese Boxer, Japanese Pug, Japanese Spaniel (Chin), Mastiff (All Breeds), Pekinese, Pit Bull, Pug, Shar Pei, Shih Tzu, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Tibetan Spaniel.

Forms Required:: All forms required by your origination and destination country must be available for Thai Airways representatives at the time of check-in.

Thai Airways Pet Policy

Pets Allowed: Thai Airways will transport unaccompanied dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters and ferrets. No sick or pregnant pets are permitted.

Breed Restrictions: The following breeds will not be transported as cargo : all Pitbull and Staffordshire Terrier breeds.

Forms Required: Health Certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian at least 10 days prior to travel will be required. All forms required for your origination and destination country should be attached to the crate. Quarantine arrangements for Japan must be made in advance.
