  • Relocating Pygmy Hedgehog UK to USA

    Hi,

I go to college abroad in the UK but plan to return to the USA this coming June. I would like to bring my pygmy hedgehog Eloise back with me if this is feasible. Does anyone know if any airlines allow hedgehogs in cabin? Or if traveling first class could make it so?

I also just want to confirm that hedgehogs do not need to go through quarantine to enter the US. She is legal to keep in my state so that is not a worry but if anyone has more information that would be excellent.

    Thank you!

We don't know of any commercial airline that will allow a hedgehog to travel in the cabin out of the UK. It is difficult to find an airline that will fly any pet in the cabin out of the UK, but Air Canada will. You can try them if they fly your route and see if they will make an exception. If not, ask about checked baggage. It will be a lot less expensive than air cargo.
