  • Getting Ferrets from London to Vancouver

We're trying to find an airline that will allow us to take our three ferrets from London to Vancouver, but not having much luck, the best we've found is about 800 GBP with airpets, which seems a lot considering the flights for us are only 200 ish each.

Any tips/knowledge of airlines that will allow them in the cabin/hold for less?

What you may be looking for is an airline that will accept your ferrets in the cabin or as accompanied checked baggage in the cargo hold. These classes of service are much less expensive than air cargo which is what you were quoted. Unfortunately, we are not aware of any airline that flies your route that will accept ferrets either in the cabin or as checked baggage except (maybe Virgin Atlantic). If your ferrets must travel as air cargo, you can check with Air Canada or Lufthansa's cargo department and inquire whether you can book the transport (many airlines require that an agent book the transport). You will need to check them in and claim them in Vancouver at your airline's cargo facility.

Thanks, we've managed to get a more reasonable quote from petsaway for 600 so I think we're going to go with that. Air Canada said they couldn't do it fro m the UK.
