  • Traveling to Canada from Philippines with Shanghai stopover

Hi. I'm traveling from the Philippines to Canada, with a stopover in Shanghai, via China eastern airlines. I got a puppy in the Philippines (2 months old) and would like to bring her home with me. What are the requirements for her stopover in Shanghai? We don't need to collect our baggage in Shanghai , it goes through for us so I'm assuming the same would happen for pets. Canada doesn't need her to be vaccinated (rabies) as she is under 3 months. Any help would be appreciated especially since we're traveling in a couple of weeks!

Your pup will need a transit permit to transit the Shanghai airport. You may want to ask China Eastern whether they require rabies vaccination.

Thanks Jason. Do you guys have a transit permit on your site? I can't seem to find one.

We don't currently have the transit posted. We will work on that.

Transit permit is required for any pet to be traveled across the boundary of Philippines. You should get your puppy vaccinated and well cared before you take it to the airport.
