  • USDA/APHIS pet export requirement to Thailand from USA

I am moving to CM about mid October on a Non O-A to retire there. Bringing my ESA black lab/mix with me. My local veterinarian says I must have this USDA/APHIS form and pet exam for entry into Thailand. I looked on the Thai requirements on the Thai Immigration site and form with no mention of this but on the Thai Consulate site in Washington DC it does state that as a requirement. It cost $1500.
My question is for anyone that has brought their pet/service/esa dog from the USA recently (it is August 2019), have they been forced to do this to enter Thailand.

MartyL16 - you can find pet import requirements for Thailand here: https://www.pettravel.com/immigration/thailand.cfm. The health certificate should be issued by a USDA-accredited veterinarian and endorsed by your State USDA office. No idea where the $1500 came from. Endorsement is about $38. All details and forms are available here: https://www.pettravelstore.com/pet-passport-thailand/.
