    Hello Everyone,

What is the main difference between a pet and and an ESA? How to qualify for an ESA?

Ellisonjfhan292 - your pet must fit in an airline-copliant carrier under the seat in front of you and there will be a fee a fee to fly in the cabin. Your airline must also permit the transport of pets in the cabin in their policies. Emotional support animals are protected in the rules of the Airline Carrier Access Act and fly for free. US-based airlines are subject to this legislation but foreign-based airlines are not. More information on this classification here: https://www.pettravel.com/passports_comfort_animals.cfm. You can find airline policies for admitting ESAs here: https://www.pettravel.com/blog/index.php/emotional-support-service-animals-airline-policies-and-how-they-are-changing/
