Cat Travel: Air Canada Jazz restricts traveling with a cat in the cabin

Air Canada Jazz bans catsThis week, the decision of the Canadian Transportation Agency will require Air Canada Jazz to ban cats in the cabin on their Dash 8-100/300 planes when travelers that are allergic to felines give 48 hours prior to notice. The airline had a proposed a “first come, first served” program whereby a cat owner could reserve in advance and a traveler with an allergy to pets would be put on another plane, but the courts did not accept that proposal.

The larger planes operated by WestJet and Air Canada are not as affected due to the fact that their planes are larger and their ventilation systems are stronger and seem to do a good job in cleaning he air.
