In-Cabin Pet Policy
If your small dog or cat meets the requirements listed in Transavia Airlines pet policy to travel in-cabin, you will need an approved airline pet carrier.
Pets Allowed:
Small, domestic cats and dogs
The weight of your pet including its carrier must weigh less than 22 pounds (10 kg).
Requirements:
Dogs and cats must be at least 3 months and 21 days old. They must be microchipped and vaccinated for rabies. They are permitted to fly with Transavia 21 days after the rabies vaccination.
Restrictions:
A pet carrier is not included in the carry-on baggage limitations. An additional charge will be levied as excess baggage.
Pets cannot travel on flights to or from the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United Arab Emirates or Chambery.
Carrier Requirements:
The carrier may be no larger than 18.5" L x 12" D x 10.6" H. (47 L x 30 D x 27 H cm) There is a limit of 1 pet per passenger. The carrier must have a waterproof bottom, have room for your pet to stand up and turn around, must fasten securly and have adequate ventilation. Your pet must fit entirely in the carrier.
Reservations
You should book a reservation by contacting Transavia Airlines before you make your booking.
Check-In:
You should arrive at the airport and check-in with an Transavia Airlines ticket agent at least 1 hour prior to flight time. All forms required for destination country must be presented at check-in when traveling internationally.

All documentation for your destination country must be presented. A rabies certificate is also required.
Service Animals
Service animals do not need to be in a carrier. Pet owners and handlers must notify Transavia Airlines in advance of travel.
Checked Baggage Pet Policy
If your pet is too large to fit under the seat or if it is a very long flight, Transavia Airlines may transport your pet in the cargo section of the aircraft as checked baggage according to its regulations. This section of the cargo department has the same temperature and pressure as the passenger cabin.

Reservations:
To fly your pet as checked baggage, reservations should be made before booking your ticket. The number of pets accepted in the baggage compartment is 2. The number of pets per passenger is 2.
Up to 2 puppies or kittens can travel in the same crate if they are litter-mates. A puppy or kitten can also travel in the same crate as their mother if they are dependent on her.
Check-In:
When flying as checked baggage, you will check in your pet at the passenger ticket counter in an IATA compliant pet crate at which time you will pay the fee for transport. In order to travel as checked baggage, The weight of your pet and its carrier should not exceed 165 pounds (75 kg).

Temperature Restrictions:
If, at any point, (origination/transit/destination) during your pet's transport, the temperature for the day is forecast to be less than 40 degrees F (-12°C) or greater than 85°F (29°C), your pet will be refused transport as checked baggage.
Forms Required:
Transavia Airlines will require all forms required for destination country be presented at check-in when traveling internationally. Also, a rabies certificate and EU Pet Passport for pets residing in the EU will be required. Dogs and cats must be vaccinated for rabies at least 21 days before flying Transavia.
Crate Requirements:
Maximum crate size is 40" L x 27" W x 30" H (102cm L x 69cm W x 76cm H)

Manifest (Air) Cargo Pet Policies
Transavia Airlines does not offer air cargo service for live animals.
Airports Served
Transavia Airlines serves airports throughout Europe, Ireland, Turkey, Iceland, Lebanon, Jordan. Morocco, Tunis and Algeria.
Banned Breeds
Snub-nosed dog breeds such as Pugs, Boxers, Bulldogs, Pekinese dogs and Persian cats will only transported in the cabin.
The following breeds and their crosses will not be accepted on Transavia flights either in the cabin or in the cargo hold: Staffordshire Terriers or American Staffordshire Terriers (pit bulls, pedigree or not), Mastiffs (pedigree or not), Tosas (pedigree or not), Rottweilers (pedigree or not).
Other Animals
Transavia Airlines will only transport domesticated cats and dogs.
