In-Cabin Pet Policy
If your small dog or cat meets the requirements listed in Allegiant Air pet policy to travel in-cabin, you will need an approved airline pet carrier. The carrier must have a waterproof bottom, have room for your pet to stand up and turn around, must fasten securly and have adequate ventilation.
Small, domestic cats and dogs
Passengers accompanying dogs or cats must be at least 15 years old.
A pet carrier is not included in the carry-on baggage limitations. An additional charge will be levied as excess baggage.
Pets cannot travel on flights to or from Hawaii uness they are service dogs and conform to Hawaii's pet import regulations.
The carrier may be no larger than 9" H x 16" W x 19" D. There is a limit of two pets per carrier and one carrier permitted per passenger. Carriers must be secure, allow for your pet to stand up and turn around and must have a waterproof bottom.
You can book a reservation for your pet online when you make your booking. Otherwise, be sure and check-in between 45 minutes and 4 hours of departure time.
You must arrive at the airport and check-in with an Allegiant Air ticket agent at least 45 minutes prior to flight time. All forms required for destination country must be presented at check-in when traveling internationally.

A health certificate is not required when flying your pet with Allegiant Air.
Service and Emotional Support Animals
Service and emotional support animals are accepted on Allegiant's flights. Service animals should have identification cards, tags, or other written documentation, wear harnesses or markings on harnesses, or the credible verbal assurances of the individual with a disability using the animal.
Owners of emotional support animals must provide supporting documentation to the airline at least 48 hours in advance of departure. This documentation will include a letter from a licensed mental health professional (psychiatrist, psychologist, licensed clinical social worker, or other medical doctor specifically treating the passenger's mental or emotional disability) stating that the passenger is under their care and has a mental or emotional health-related disability recognized in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-Fourth Edition (DSM IV).The letter must also state that the animal accompanying the passenger is necessary to the passenger's mental health or treatment or to assist the passenger with his or her disability during the flight or at the passenger's destination. Licensing information such as State in which professional is licensed, contact information, date of licensed expiration, etc. should be included.
Checked Baggage Pet Policy
Allegiant Air no longer offers checked baggage services for live animals of any type.
Manifest (Air) Cargo Pet Policies
Allegiant Air no longer offers air cargo service for live animals.
Allegiant Air serves cities all over the United States and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Allegiant Air will only transport domesticated cats and dogs.
