In-Cabin Pet Policy
Garuda Indonesia does not permit any type of live animal to fly in the cabin of its aircraft.
Checked Baggage Pet Policy
Garuda Indonesia will allow small cats, dogs and other small mammals (hamsters) to fly in the cargo hold as accompanied checked baggage on flights within Indonesia only.
Animals Allowed
Dogs, cats and other small mammals such as hamsters. Weight of pet and carrier must not exceed 70.5 lbs. (32 kg).
Flight Restrictions
Flights must not be over 2 hours in duration. Flights must be direct (i.e. no layovers)
No live animals are permitted on flights served by ATR72-600 aircraft.
Forms Required
Health Certificate from Port Health and Quarantine Office.
Reservations and Check-In
You must contact Garuda Indonesia Airlines to make a reservation for your pet as space in the cargo hold is limited. Check-in should be at least one hour prior to departure.
Service Animals
Service animals will be flown without charge on both domestic and international routes. Service animal is an animal that is individually trained to perform tasks that address disabilities such as seeing-eye dogs, alerting people who are deaf, seizure alerting or performing other special tasks.

Garuda Indonesia serves locations worldwide however, they only accept dogs, cats and small mammals on flights within Indonesia to areas that are not restricted for the import of cats and dogs.
