| Description: | Whispering Pines Cottages is a small, family operated establishment nestled in a pine grove high on a hill in the village of Lake George New York. The cottages of Whispering Pines are a "Quiet Oasis" in the middle of all the action and adventure of a fun filled environment. The grounds have 150-200 foot tall White Pine trees, some nearly 300 years old. The setting is very peaceful and seems remote, though we are only 1 block from the main intersection of Lake George Village and a very short distance from all the major sites and attractions. In addition to a great central location, Whispering Pines has a relaxing atmosphere to offer our guests. We have beautiful, well- maintained cottages as well as flower gardens and landscaped grounds. Nestled in the pines is a large enclosed spa and an outdoor fireplace for your relaxation and enjoyment. Also centrally located on the grounds is a playground area for children, and we are a "Pet Friendly" facility. Our check in office/gift shop features hand crafted gifts including pewter items, jewelry, historical miniatures, fantasy figures, and many other unique items not commonly found. We also offer other necessary items as well such as charcoal, soda, toys, and many more. |
| Directions: | From the North: Take Interstate 87 South to Exit 21. Take left at the end of the ramp and proceed to light. Take Left at Light. Follow Rt9 - North toward Village on Canada Street - approx. 1 mile to Mohican Street. Take Left onto Mohican Street then a Left onto Cortland Street. You will see the entrance to Whispering Pines Cottages. From the South of Albany: (Lake George is 45 Miles) Take I- 87 (the New York Thruway) North to Exit 24 (Albany) Pay toll, proceed to I-87 North heading towards Montreal and Saratoga approximately 55 miles to Exit 21 (Lake George).Take right at the end of the ramp and proceed to light. Take left at light. Follow Rt9 - North toward Village on Canada Street - approx. 1 mile to Mohican Street. Take Left onto Mohican Street then a Left onto Cortland Street. You will see the entrance to Whispering Pines Cottages. From the East: Take Interstate 90 West to Exit B1. Stay on I-90 until junction with I-87. Take I-87 North to Exit 21.
