| Description: | This historical Adirondack post and beam home was built in the 1850s and has been exquisitely restored by a master builder with modern amenities including wireless Internet access, satellite TV, and handicap access on the first floor. You will see incredible refinished woodwork, the original hand- hewn exposed beams and unique angles that faithfully preserve the farmhouse look and feel. We are in an idyllic countryside setting with plenty of backyard space for kids and dogs to run around. A great get-away for all seasons, we are centrally located to many destinations including Saranac Lake which is 15 minutes away and Lake Placid which is 30 minutes away. The city of Plattsburgh is a 50 minute drive. The Dewey Mountain Cross Country Complex is only 20 minutes away and downhill skiing at Whiteface Mountain is only 30 minutes away. There are many nearby lakes, streams and ponds for water sports in the summer and ice fishing in the winter, not to mention the miles of trails for snow shoeing and hiking. Dog sled rides, sleigh rides, and horseback riding are all within an easy drive as are spas, golf, museums, theater performances, guided tours, shopping and fine dining. The Courtyard Master Suite on the 1st floor has a private bath withJacuzzi tub for 2, private courtyard and private entrace. The three upstairs bedrooms can be rented individually or as a suite with private bath for three couples or a family. |
