Crystal Tag Pet Microchip FDB-X Transponder According to ISO Standard 11784
The future of microchipping is here. The Crystal Tag 15 digit microchip is fast becoming the standard for traveling pets all over the world.
This microchip is required in most European countries, and soon will be used worldwide in all countries that require microchipping.
The uses for the Crystal Tag microchip reach far beyond traveling to foreign borders, however. Identification Technology is crucial in the pet world whether

The Crystal Tag transponder is preloaded into the implanter consisting of a spring assisted syringe. It can be used with any
sterilized, disposable needle with a cannula measuring 38 mm ± .05 (an inside diameter of 2.3mm +0.02/-0.01) with a luer lock 6% which is in compliance with ISO Standard 594. The sterile pack has colored indication (yellow) to confirm
it has been sterilized with Ethylene Oxide. Each microchip contains an individual, preprogrammed code which consists of an animal identification code that is in
accordance with ISO Standard 11784. The code is unique worldwide, is permanent, and cannot be altered.
Inside its bioplastic casing, the transponder contains an antenna coil and a chip which requires no battery. The bioplastic casing is not breakable and
can be read whenever stationary or in motion.

Although market practice has been to implant microchips between the shoulder blades ofthe animals, studies show that to reduce the
possibility of migration, implantation should be done as follows:
For dogs: subcutaneous on the left side of the neck, behind the ear, lateral of the fourth to the fifth cervical vertabra
For cats: subcutaneous on the left side of the neck, behind the ear, lateral of the fourth to the fifth cervical vertabra
For horses: Subcutaneous or intramuscular in the upper center
