Summer Vacation 2008
There are certainly enough reasons to cancel your vacation plans this summer. An uncertain economy, and high gas prices being just two of them.
However, loading up the family car and including the family dog or cat in your vacation plans is still worthwhile.
Let's face it, you need a break, and what can be better than taking your pet for a walk down a small town New England street, or by the brook that runs by your cabin in the woods, or even taking it for a summer evening walk in central park.
You might even save some money. Let's say you drive a 1000 miles on your vacation and your car gets 20 miles to the gallon on the open highway. That's fifty gallons of gas that costs an extra 50 cents a gallon over last year - 25 bucks.
So how do you save more than that? The hotel/accommodations industry is hurting this summer and there are some great deals out there. Chances are you will save way more than the additional cost of gas by getting a significant reduction in the cost of your pet friendly hotel room, cabin or even a pet friendly vacation rental.
Even Las Vegas which was not very pet friendly now has a slew of pet friendly hotels that accept small pets and they are wheeling and dealing on room rates this summer.
There is another benefit, the parks and other recreational facilities are not going to be near as crowded this summer.
So decide where you would like to visit, then go to www.pettravel.com and find your perfect vacation accommodations at a price you can afford.
