Washington is "divided" weather wise into two distinct areas... Seattle and the coast which never gets too hot in the summer or cold in the winter, and "East of the Mountains" where it is very dry and hot or cold and snowy.

You can visit the rugged coastline that stretches from the mouth of the Colombia River to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. In addition to some of the major cities are hundreds of small towns some only fishing villages. Rent a boat for the afternoon and cruise among the giant Orca whales.

For the outdoor family Washington State offers rainforests and deserts, alpine meadows and wetland estuaries, and where the land is rich with natural beauty. Climb, hike, bike, boat, canoe, fish, golf and horseback ride. Head downhill on skis, through the woods on cross-country skis or snowshoes on any of several mountain ski areas. Enjoy water sports such as surfing, windsurfing, water skiing, scuba diving and swimming on the hundreds lo lakes that dot the State.

The Colombia River Area offers majestic forests and with lots of hiking trails and rivers filled with Salmon and Steelhead Trout. There are even several winery’s where you can sample some of the finest wines from grapes grown in the US. Washington State is a place to relax and enjoy nature with your pet by your side.
