All roads, at some point or another, appear to have led through Bretagne.
Brittany, Bretagne, Breton -- they're all the same place -- makes up the relatively remote western coast of France.
Flanked by both the Atlantic Ocean and the English Channel, Bretons
are French but have fiercely maintained their own identity while trying to
preserve their own distinct language and windswept way of life.
In Rochefort-en-Terre, you can find a medieval village with buildings of stone
and roots dating the 1100s. The legendary King Arthur is said to have passed this way.
Dine at one of the many quaint Cafes, sipping the region's boisson of choice,
a high-octane apple cider. This is crepes country, so prepare yourself for a real treat!
