Someone know something about traveling with hamster?I would like to go to the UK with my hamster :)
Posted on 2014-02-24 18:19:13.0
Agnes - it would depend on where you are traveling to the UK from. Unless it is from anther EU country, your hamster would be licensed into quarantine for 4 months.Sorry...

Im going from Malta to the Uk. can you help me please with which airline I can travel with my sweetheart hamster ?thank you :)
Posted on 2014-02-25 07:53:19.0
Hi Agnes - Air Malta flies direct from MLA to LHR. Any airline you choose will require that your pet travel in the cargo hold as manifest cargo.

Ivona - what cities are you traveling from and to?
Posted on 2014-04-17 03:52:34.0
Sigel - it depends on the airline and whether you will accompany your cat or not. We do not quote costs as they vary depending on the class of service and the airline. If you are traveling with your pet, call the reservations number. If your pet is travelin alone, contac the cargo department. The airline must serve the entire route.

Try Norwegian, Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines or Swiss Air. They offer cargo services and you should be able to book the transport yourself.

What arline lets u fly belfst to london with dog
Posted on 2014-05-07 11:56:12.0
AerLingus and British Airways fly out of Belfast to London Heathrow. Both will carry a dog, but it will have to travel in the cargo hold. You will most likely need an agent to book the transport.

Posted on 2014-06-02 22:57:34.0
Kornelia - you can ask for a refund from EasyJet or you can send your kitty unaccompanied as manifest cargo on anther airline.
Posted on 2014-06-07 02:53:15.0
No, EasyJet does not allow pets at all.

I am wanting to take my dog to Amsterdam from Newcastle who is the cheapest to go with??
Posted on 2014-06-16 05:47:52.0
Jadee - you can choose from KLM, British Airways or Air France. KLM is non-stop so you may want to start with them. BA will only fly your pet as manifest cargo booked through an agent, so may be more expensive. Air France connects in Paris. There is also a pet friendly ferry operated by DFDS that travels between the 2 cities if you have the time.

Hi, which airline is the best to travel from Bristol to Newcastle or Bristol to Edinburgh please?
Posted on 2014-06-27 22:53:37.0
Hi, I am moving to Italy in September and want to take my cat with me. I have already moved him once from Dubai last February and all-in-all it turned out relatively easy (although expensive!). In order to keep the cost down, I don't intend to use an agency to arrange his flights. I didn't use one when I came from Dubai as it kept the cost down from £2000 to under £1000 by doing the leg work myself. We flew on Virgin Airways and due to the UK regulations he flew cargo. I have been looking for info on the best way to get him to Italy and not getting much luck. Are there any airlines you suggest for getting him from the UK to Rome? Will he have to travel as cargo again this time? Any info you have would be much appreciated! Thanks

Hi, i need send my dog from Iceland to Portugal, what airline will take it?
Posted on 2014-07-18 14:17:34.0
Leanne - pets do not need to depart the UK as manifest cargo. Try Alitalia. They have several non-stop flights from LHR to Rome. (not sure if that is your departure city)
Posted on 2014-07-22 05:09:02.0
Thanks so much, I'll check them out!
Posted on 2014-07-22 07:00:22.0
Alexandra - start with Iceland Air. Air Berlin also flies the route and Germanwings as well.

As your pet is entering from a country that Malaysia considers to be rabies-free, there will be no quarantine when entering Malaysia as long as requirements are met. The details on requirements are here: However, because the UK considers Malaysia a high-rabies country, there is a 4 month process to qualify your pet to return without quarantine. Your pet wil need a microchip, rabies vaccination, 30 day wait, Blood Titer Test and a 90 day wait. If you have gone through this process before, you don't have to do it again. You can find details on returning to the UK with your pet here:

Charlotte - where will the Mom and kitties be traveling to?
Posted on 2014-08-31 21:53:07.0
To the UK
Posted on 2014-08-31 22:20:00.0
Charlotte - assuming you are clearing your kittens in LHR, you may want to try Aegean Airlines Cargo ( Brussels Airlines would be another choice but they have a 4 hour layover in Brussels.

I have a yorkie, passport/rabies vacc/fully vaccinated/flea & wormed, microchipped.... Can I take him in the cabin of any airlines to Greece since he is so small (in correct carrier that can fit under seat in front)? Thinking esp easyjet? Jill Dance
Posted on 2014-09-05 15:01:39.0
My mum has found a lovely dog whilst on holiday in Greece and she would like to take him back home with her to Italy. She is booked to fly with Easyjet, but I understand this airline does not board animals. Are you able to suggest any other airlines? Thanks in advance for the advice.
Posted on 2014-09-10 16:17:53.0
Jill - EasyJet does not carry animals either in the cabin or in the hold. What country and city are you flying from and to?
Posted on 2014-09-13 16:41:42.0
Alice - we would be happy to do that, but we would need the cities your mum is flying from and to? It would help in suggesting a possible airline.

I want to visit my dad in Volos, Greece, with my yorkie.... I believe KLM allow certain pets in the cabin but I need to get from Manchester to Volos. Is there an airline that will allow me to take my yorkie (3kg) with me? Thanks!

Hey there... im just wondering is any company that allow rabbits from london to france?
Posted on 2014-09-28 19:00:46.0
Hi Jill - you may want to contact Transavia out of Paris or Amsterdam or Austrian Air out of Vienna. I am sure KLM has a flight that will suit your schedule from MAN to AMS and Air France has plenty of flights to CDG. We could not find an airline that served the entire route, but clearing customs in any EU country should not be a problem with a microchip, rabies vaccination and EU pet passport. Hope this helps.

i'm sorry, i just read that easyjet does not accept pets. at all? or in the cabin?
Posted on 2014-10-22 14:43:31.0
Greta Geanina Easy Jet does not transport pets in their airplanes at all. You must arrive on airline approved to carry pets to London. Try Air France/KLM Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo, Swiss World Cargo, Austrian Airways Cargo or Scandavian Airlines System Cargo as they fly your route. British Airways and Japan Airlines serve the route non-stop, but BA will require that an agent book the travel. It is not inexpensive to transport a pet to London. An agent must pick up your pet and take ti to the Animal Reception Center where you will pick it up. The ARC has its fees as does the agent. Ask the airline whether the agent's fees are included in their fees or whether you can get your own agent. If you need instructions and forms required to take your pet to the United Kingdom, you can find them here:

Do they take cats on short flights from Bristol to inverness? If so, how do I book her in? And is there an extra charge involved? Or any requirements for the cat? Thanks

Becca - EasyJet does not allow pets on their planes. You will need to find another airline.

my sister needs to bring her 9week old kitten from bristol to newcastle, which flight company can she go with please
Posted on 2014-11-13 12:06:05.0

I would like to fly my St. Bernard from Valencia to London. He has a pet passport and is up to date on shots. Pet passport issued in Uk. He is about 87 kilos. Easyjet are only company to fly direct so what other airline can I use in the quickest time, to avoid stress for him.

Hello, I am flying from Malta to the UK, Gatwick and I would like to bring my small bunny- will this be possible on easyjet?
Posted on 2014-12-01 10:37:27.0
Tanya - you cannot bring a 3 months old kitten to the UK. It must be at least 4 months to enter. It must be microchipped, then vaccinated, then wait 21 days to enter. It must travel as manifest cargo and you must accompany it into Manchester. You can try as they are approved to fly pets into Manchester and they fly this route non-stop.
Posted on 2014-12-02 04:04:49.0
Pentaisa - it is not possible to bring a bunny or any other animal on an EasyJet flight as they do not transport pets. You can try British Airways (IAG Cargo) but they will only book through an agent. Air Malta flies non-stop into LHR or MAN.
Posted on 2014-12-02 04:10:29.0
Christine - your pup will need a microchip, then a rabies vaccination. Assuming you are traveling from Valencia, Spain, have all the details recorded in an EU pet passport. Iberia has quite a few flights into LHR, but you can also contact Turkish Airlines or Lufthansa as both have short layovers. As your pup is on the large side, make sure the aircraft can handle his crate.

Hello! I am flying from Malta to Tenerife. The probelm ther´s no direct flight, so most probably I will be stoping in England. I am flying with 2 cats... any advice?
Posted on 2015-01-17 09:49:30.0
Would a hamster be allowed?
Posted on 2015-01-17 11:56:20.0
Lau - you will need a transit permit if you are transiting in London Heathrow. The layover should be no more than 2 hours.
Posted on 2015-01-19 21:22:21.0
Are you flying EasyJet? They don't carry pets... you also need to stay on the same airline.
Posted on 2015-01-19 21:23:31.0
Natali - EasyJet does not fly any type of animals.

Hi, can you tell me if i can fly with my pet tortoise from Manchester to Paphos? and what i need to do? thank you
Posted on 2015-01-25 17:12:53.0
Carol - as long as your tortoise is not covered by CITIES (endangered species) it can travel within the EU freely. Check with your airlines to see if they have any requirements for a health certificate.
Posted on 2015-01-27 04:04:06.0
Carol - you need to find another airline - EasyJet does not transport animals.

hello how much does it cost for a 4 kilos dog to be transferred from Athens to London with easy jet ?
Posted on 2015-01-28 12:34:32.0
Hello Sophia, EasyJet does not allow pets to travel in the cabin or in the cargo hold. Only service animals are allowed to travel with EasyJet. British Airways would be your safest bet as they are permitted to transport pets into the UK. Pets entering into the UK also have to enter as cargo, so keep that in mind. Also, make sure that your pet has the 15-digit microchip, rabies vaccination, EU Pet Passport and a tapeworm treatment (completed within 5 days of entry).

hello, please tell me how i can transport my dog from sofia to london? Thank you!
Posted on 2015-02-05 13:51:11.0
Kristina - British Air is the only approved airline with non-stop service into LHR that we could find. You will need to go through an agent to book transport. (IAG Cargo) Turkish Airlines has a short stop in Istanbul and they are approved to fly in to London as well.LOT Polish Airlines has a short stop in Warsaw. Lufthansa also flies the route with a short stop in Munich. IN any case, you will need to contact their cargo departments.

hello there, i would really appreciate it if you could let me know which airline I could travel with from Berlin to UK (ideally Birmingham, otherwise surrounding) with my 2 cats which are each about 4 kg. thank you in advance hardeep
Posted on 2015-02-16 16:46:34.0
Hardeep - try KLM Cargo. They have short, one-stop routes and they are approved to transport live animals into the UK. You can also try SAS (Scandanavian Airlines System Cargo) Your pets will need to enter the UK as manifest cargo no matter what airline they fly on.
